Neuropathic pain
Any person experiences shooting, burning pain that may constant or occur intermittently with or without feeling of tingling, numbness, or a loss of sensation called neuropathic pain. People are often associated with diabetes but in some diseases conditions like alcoholism and shingles can also cause neuropathic pain. Absent these conditions, neuropathic pain also occurs as results of any injury or infection to nerves.

Treatment options vary with the conditions, chronic conditions treatment options may include medicines, physical therapy, psychological counselling and in progressive nerve diseases surgery also needed.
